Chamomile ~ Whole Flowers or cut (don't confuse with Dyer's Chamomile)
Chamomile is an herb that comes from the daisy like flowers of the Asteraceae plant family. It has been consumed for centuries as a natural remedy for several health conditions.
Please be aware that this natural plant dye is not Dyer's Chamomile, but still dyes a beautiful golden yellow.

Basic Recipe::
Wool mordanted with 20% Alum
Chamomile flowers 200% of the dry weight of the wool
Dried Chamomile flowers in cold water,
simmer for 1 hour, strain through a dye cloth.
Add the wool into to the dye water and simmer gently for one hour.
