INDIGO DYEING WORKSHOP 3 WAYS
The meaning of Alchemy ~ a seemingly magical process of transformation, creation, or combination
I do believe that Indigo is probably one of the most magical natural dyes. The transformation from green to blue is indeed like alchemy.
Join me in a 2 day class to learn about the mysterious blue dye - In this class you will learn about the differences of 3 Indigo Vats and why they matter. You will learn how to make, use and maintain an Organic Indigo Vat based on Fruit sugar/Fruit fermentation, a dark Indigo Vat known as the iron Vat and last but not least, the chemical Vat, also known as the Hydros Vat. How to dye blues, purples and greens and using a form of resist dyeing like stitching, material or paste.
Materials are provided and we will dye a scarf and many different kinds of fabric samples for you to take home.
This is a great follow up workshop to the Natural Dyeing Basics workshop.
