Whether you’ve never dyed before or want to refresh your natural colour basics, this 5-week online course is the perfect way to begin. Learn how to extract lasting colour from plants, kitchen waste, and seasonal garden materials using simple methods that are safe, accessible, and even family-friendly.

You don’t need a studio or fancy equipment—just a kitchen and curiosity.

About the Tutor

Malú Colorín is a Mexican natural dyer living in West Wicklow, Ireland. She’s the founder of Talú, co-founder of Fibreshed Ireland, and a passionate teacher blending tradition, activism, and hands-on craft. Her work draws on both Mexican heritage and Irish traditions and her workshops reflect a deep commitment to connection—with nature, place, and self.

🌞 INTRODUCTION TO THE ALCHEMY OF CYANOTYPE PRINTING

A playful introduction to the alchemy of cyanotype printing! This 4-week course is open to both beginners and experienced creatives who want to explore richly detailed textures and natural colours with cyanotype printing on paper. Guided by an expert, you’ll learn to work confidently with botanicals, wet ingredients, and natural dyes to create unique, environmentally conscious works of art.

You don’t need a studio or specialist equipment—just curiosity and a willingness to experiment.

Once you have booked your place, we will guide you through to the Academy and provide course access.

About the Tutor

Ashleigh Ellis is an award-winning eco artist based in Cork, Ireland. Her practice explores life-affirming reflection and creative processes to deepen the relationship between people and the more-than-human world. Plants, natural pigments, textiles, painting and music are her joy, and she brings a deep knowledge of environmentally conscious art and well-being practices. She works at Helium Arts with young people with life-long health conditions, and teaches as a guest lecturer on the Eco Art module, Masters in Arts & Engagement, at Munster Technological University, Cork, Ireland.
