Natürliche Maulbeerseide, auch Friedensseide genannt, glänzend und schön. Ideal zum Spinnen, Filzen und Basteln. Maulbeerseide wird auch als Kulturseide oder Bombyxseide bezeichnet. Maulbeerseide ist feiner, weicher, stärker und hat mehr Glanz als Tussah-Seide, tötet aber auch den kleinen Wurm im Inneren ab, was bei der Herstellung von Tussah-Seide nicht passiert. Es hat eine Stärke von 10–13 Mikron, ist sehr weiß und eignet sich perfekt zum Färben. Es verleiht Ihrem Filzprojekt und Ihrem gesponnenen Garn zusätzliche Textur und Glanz, wenn es zu Vliesen oder Vlies hinzugefügt wird.

• The fibres are carded/pulled into a soft, cohesive texture with a smooth, silky feel – ideal for spinning, felting, or adding unique textural detail.

Uses

• Hand Spinning: Short staple fibre that requires a little extra twist – produces beautiful, glossy singles or plied yarns, perfect for art yarns or soft accessories.

• Felting: Excellent for Nuno felting techniques, surface embellishment, or texture effects in both needle and wet felting.

• Colour Accents: Combine with other fibres for stunning tweed-like effects or use sparingly for lustrous pops of colour in your yarn.
