Not all Himalayan nettle fabrics are alike.

Himalayan nettle (Girardinia diversifolia) is a remarkable natural fibre traditionally harvested, processed, spun and woven in Nepal.

Our three fabrics demonstrate how different weaving techniques and fibre combinations influence the texture and character of the finished cloth.

  • ALLO: Rustic pure nettle with a distinctive herringbone pattern.

  • FANEEL: Rustic pure nettle with a classic straight weave.

  • LUNA: A softer combination of Himalayan nettle and cotton with a herringbone weave.

Together, they offer a wonderful introduction to the possibilities of this traditional textile fibre.

Síoda is one of the most luminous yarns in our range — combining softness, drape and the unmistakable sheen of silk.

Made from a balanced blend of mulberry silk and merino wool, this yarn offers strength, breathability, and exceptional comfort against the skin. The silk contributes its characteristic sheen and fluid drape, whilst merino wool provides elasticity, structure and warmth.

Soft and elegant, SĂ­oda moves effortlessly on the needles and creates garments with gentle drape and quiet luxury.

The merino wool is sourced and processed in Peru. Mulberry silk from China is blended and spun with the wool in Peru to create the finished yarn. Each skein is then naturally dyed at AppleOak FibreWorks using traditional, sustainable natural dye methods and organic dye materials.

Natural dye colours develop beautifully on this fibre blend, creating rich tones with depth and subtle variation.

Made from Ériu's signature blend of Romney lambswool and Bluefaced Leicester wool, this yarn balances softness with durability. Romney provides strength and structure, whilst Bluefaced Leicester contributes smoothness, elasticity, and its characteristic gentle sheen.

Using Ériu's signature Irish wool blend of Romney lambswool and Bluefaced Leicester, each skein is dyed individually at AppleOak FibreWorks using a wide range of traditional natural dye sources. Colours emerge through layered dyeing, over-dyeing, and careful handling in the dye vat, creating rich multicolour variation across the yarn.

These skeins carry movement, depth, and quiet unpredictability — tones shift along the length of the yarn, revealing themselves fully only when knitted.

Lima is a quietly complex yarn — combining softness, structure, and light with the subtle texture of plant and silk fibres.

Made from a balanced blend of wool, tussah silk, and linen, Lima offers strength and breathability alongside gentle lustre. The tussah silk, often called peace silk, is produced after the silk moth has naturally emerged from the cocoon. This creates a slightly more textured fibre, which interacts beautifully with natural dyes.

The addition of linen introduces a delicate speckle and gentle irregularity, giving the yarn visual depth and character.

Soft yet structured, Lima is especially suited to garments for warmer seasons, offering comfort, breathability, and durability.

MERINO PREFELT – Natural White

100% Merino Wool | 19.5 Micron | Approx. 120 g/mÂČ | Width approx. 145 cm

Soft, lightweight and beautifully workable, this Merino wool prefelt is made from 19.5 micron extrafine Merino wool and is ideal for wet felting, needle felting and textile art.

The prefelt is lightly needled, giving it enough structure to cut, shape and position while remaining open and flexible enough to felt easily into your finished work.

Its natural white colour makes it a clean and versatile base for a wide variety of felting projects.
