Keep the vibrancy of your yarn shinning through the years with these simple tricks!
Caring for your beautiful naturally dyed garments:
- Handwash in lukewarm water with Ph neutral soap
- Dry and store away from Sunlight
- Wash, dry and store garment inside out
Notice for Colourways containing Lac, Indigo, or Cochineal dyes
Although this yarn has been thoroughly rinsed, if dyed with Lac, Indigo or Cochineal, excess dye may work to the surface when being knitted, due to the combination of moisture and friction.
It will NOT rub off onto skin when being worn, though caution should be practiced when wearing the garment over light clothing, ie. white or light grey during the first few months.
All three dyes benefit from being soaked in Vinegar water:
Add 125ml of white vinegar to soaking bath and soak for 30 minutes.
This will pull out the excess dye and fix the remainder. After a few washes any run off will subside.
