RAMIE ROVING ~ Suitable for spinning, doll hair, dyeing, felting when mixed with wool
Ramie fibre, a nettle plant, is white with a silky lustre, similar to flax in absorbency and density but coarser (25-30 microns). One of the strongest natural fibres, it has low elasticity and dyes easily. Strands of ramie range up to 190 cm in length. Great for spinning, dying and other fiber arts including doll hair. This fiber can be dyed using natural or commercial dyes (Fiber reactive are best) even hair dye can be used (though I don't have any personal experience with that one).
Vegan friendly
