A beautiful 3mm thick felt. Ideal for making phone pockets, bags, mouse pads, insoles, slippers, coasters or on walls for insulation, to give, but a few, possible uses.

BioFelt is made from 100% pure undyed wool and it is very solid and strong. It also has the Oeko-tex label making it a high quality felt. To give you an idea of size, 3mm is about the thickness of a smart phone.

This lovely walked and felted woolen fabric is the perfect for the cooler months of the year. Light but warm, like any felted wool fabric, the cut edges don't fray, no seams necessary.

Warm, but breathable, this would make a lovely cardigan, waist coat, cape, jumper, skirt, coat, jacket, poncho, shawl, leg or hand warmers, children's clothing and even cushion covers or blankets. Also sleeping bags for babies or hot water bottle covers can be made from this fabric.

DOLL HAIR WOOL CREPE ~ CHESTNUT

Wool Crepe is made from natural sheep wool. These lovely plaits, once pulled apart, create the loveliest curly beards, doll hair and doll wigs. It can also be used for creating wigs and beards for stage performance.

10cm will supply a 4cm/1.5inch head with plenty of curls.

Available in 15 colours.

I would love to describe Linen as the European version of Silk. The best linen is produced in Ireland, Belgium and some other European countries.

Liolina is an interesting blend of bleached and natural coloured, slubby spun linen yarn and one of my personal favourites. The fabric has a textured look and feel and is extremely versatile as well as economical. Not only in the dyeing studio, but also how it can be used. It is heavier than most of our linens and will make for some interesting garments or home decorations.

Moira is a Linen Viscose blend, making it a medium weight fabric with a gorgeous soft handle. The embroidered flowers are cream coloured on a linen beige background. making them subtle, but they won't be missed!

What is Viscose?

Viscose is made from waste wood pulp like Beech and Birch. It is a rayon fabric, but, unlike modal, the process includes some chemicals. Here is how viscose is made:

1. The plant is chipped into a wood pulp and dissolved chemicals like sodium hydroxide, forming a brown wood pulp solution.
2. This brown wood pulp is then washed, cleaned, and bleached.
3. To create the fibers, the pulp is treated with carbon disulfide and then dissolved in sodium hydroxide to create the solution referred to as “viscose.”
4. The viscose solution is forced through a spinneret, which is a machine that creates filaments, called regenerated cellulose.
5. This regenerated cellulose is spun into yarn, which can then be woven or knit into viscose rayon fabric.

I love jacquard knits, they add cheer to any wardrobe, keep you warm in the winter and the merino yarn just keeps you all snuggled up. I always wear Merino jacquards during the cooler months and can only highly recommend them. This lovely knit reminds of autumn colours, a combination of red, turquoise, light green and orange on a beige background.

What is Jacquard?

Jacquard is a broad term, but it basically means that the pattern is a woven design rather than printed. 

This lovely jacquard fabric is perfect for the cooler months of the year. Snug and warm, this fabric will need sewing unlike our other wool fabrics so far.
