This cotton Jersey Tube is a great way of making doll heads. The traditional method of making doll heads can be challenging on the hands this offers a less straining alternative. It is a round-knitted tube of stretchable cotton, which can be made into the base layer of the doll's head by sewing or knotting one end close. After forming a ball out of wool, insert into the tube to start forming the head. For extra sturdy heads a double layer can be used. When the head is in the desired shape tie it shut at the neck.

These balls are skin coloured and can be used for making doll heads by using the ball straight off, you can draw and sew easily on it.
