Orders of several lengths will always be cut continuously, unless instructed otherwise.
This is the essential black wool jersey — a dense, single-knit fabric with the quiet lustre and easy drape of fine merino. Soft on the skin yet reassuringly substantial, LANA NERO is warm, breathable and effortlessly elegant. It dresses up for the office, layers beautifully at the weekend, and brings that just-right comfort you want from knitwear.
The Fabric
Knitted in Italy from 100% mulesing-free merino wool, this medium-weight jersey balances structure with softness. Merino regulates temperature naturally, breathes well and refreshes with a simple airing, so it needs washing far less often than cotton. The surface is smooth, the hand supple, and the black dye is deep and even — a true wardrobe and studio staple.

Sewing Notes
Wool jerseys can show a slight diagonal knit run from production. To prevent twisting side seams, align pattern pieces with the knit direction rather than the selvedge. For best results, cut large pieces single layer instead of on the fold. Use a ballpoint or jersey needle and a gentle stretch or zigzag stitch to maintain flexibility.
Care
Merino loves fresh air — brush lightly and air overnight between wears. If washing is needed, hand wash cold (or delicate 30 °C wool cycle) with a mild wool detergent. Do not wring; reshape and dry flat.
Avoid tumble drying, bleach, or hot ironing — a light steam or press cloth is plenty.
