This is the original linen canvas â a dense, structured fabric in a natural beige-brown tone with the unmistakable sheen of true linen. It has a strong weave with a surprisingly soft handle and is as versatile as it is beautiful.
Whether used for painting, garment-making, or interiors, this cloth offers timeless texture and utility. From rustic blazers and waistcoats to artistsâ canvases or sack-style homeware, Linen Canvas is a solid, breathable, and sustainable workhorse of a fabric.
The Fabric
Woven from 100% undyed linen, this heavyweight canvas has a subtle linen lustre and a firm yet flexible handle. Itâs strong enough for upholstery or artistic use, but with enough softness for wearable, structured garments. Itâs not pre-washed, so expect around 5â10% shrinkage on first laundering.

The Environment
Linen is an exceptionally low-impact fibre. Flax grows in poor soil with very little water and leaves nothing behind â every part of the plant is used. From canvas to clothing, itâs a zero-waste, renewable, and compostable fibre that supports long-term soil health and ecological craft.
Health & Comfort
100% linen is hypoallergenic, breathable, and cooling. It helps manage heat sensitivity, making it a wonderful fabric for those with allergies, hot flushes, or sensitive skin. It also resists mildew and bacteria naturally, making it ideal for both clothing and home use.
Care
Linen thrives with regular washing and becomes softer and more supple with time. This fabric should be hung up dripping wet and does not need ironing â its natural creasing becomes part of its structure and appeal. It will last for years with proper care, wearing in rather than wearing out.
