PIUMA – Ultra-Fine Merino Wool Jersey (Natural White)

As soft and airy as a feather, PIUMA is our lightest merino jersey yet — a pure, natural-white single jersey knitted from 100 % mulesing-free merino wool.
It’s pre-washed, undyed and left in tubular form, with a smooth, silky surface and gentle stretch.
Delicate yet resilient, this fabric is ideal for next-to-skin wear: fine T-shirts, leggings, underwear, and baby clothing.

The Fabric

Knitted in Italy, Piuma is an ultra-light 134 g/m² merino jersey with extraordinary softness and breathability. The tubular structure (104 cm circumference) makes it perfect for seamless garments and comfortable layering.
Naturally temperature-regulating, it keeps you cool in summer and warm in winter — and needs only fresh air to renew itself.

Sewing Notes

Because Piuma is a fine single jersey, it can show a gentle twist after washing. Always reshape while damp and dry flat to maintain alignment.
Use a jersey or ballpoint needle and a fine stretch stitch; for tubular work, cut open the fabric if a flat layout is preferred.

Care

Merino wool refreshes naturally with air. When washing is needed, hand-wash cold with a mild wool detergent.
Do not wring; reshape gently and dry flat.
Avoid bleach, tumble drying or high heat. A soft brush and overnight airing restore freshness and fluff.
