Multicolour Merino Roving – Fine Merino Wool

Soft, flowing colour and beautifully smooth fibre — this fine Merino roving combines three harmonious shades in each braid, creating depth and gentle transitions in your spun yarns and felted work.

With a micron range of 21–27 microns, these rovings are soft, easy to draft, and versatile across a wide range of textile applications. The finer colourways offer exceptional softness, while slightly higher micron blends provide a touch more structure without sacrificing comfort.

Each colourway has been carefully composed to create movement and subtle variation, whether spun into yarn, felted into textiles, or used in larger fibre art projects.

European Merino Lambswool

Multi Colour Collection

Soft European merino lambswool prepared as a smooth roving and available in a range of vibrant multi-colour combinations.

Unlike blended fibres, these rovings feature long colour transitions within the fibre, creating striking colour changes when spun or felted. The result can be bold stripes, soft gradients or painterly colour movement depending on how the fibre is drafted.

This medium-fine merino wool (approx. 27 microns) is sourced and processed entirely within the European Union. The wool comes from small-scale farms that follow organic farming principles, where animal welfare and responsible land management are a priority.

The wool is guaranteed mulesing-free and processed by an established European wool mill with modern quality control.

The fibres are combed into an even roving that drafts smoothly and works beautifully for felting, spinning and large-scale knitting projects.

Multi Colour Collection

Each roving contains several colours arranged in longer sections, creating natural colour transitions in finished work.

Approximate Length Guide

Wool roving is usually sold by weight rather than length, but the following estimates may help when planning projects.

250 g approx. 10 metres
1 kg approx. 40 metres

Lengths are approximate and may vary depending on colour, fibre preparation and how tightly the roving is drafted.

Care

This wool is not superwash treated.

Finished items should be hand washed gently in lukewarm water and dried flat. Agitation may cause felting or shrinkage.

Painted Merino Roving – 21 Micron

Soft Merino Wool with Flowing Colour

This fine 21 micron Merino roving features flowing, painted colour transitions that move gradually through the fibre. Unlike blended roving, the colours are applied in long sections, creating natural striping and gentle gradients when spun.

Soft, smooth and easy to draft, it is suitable for both spinning and felting work.

This is a short staple silk fibre, slightly irregular and expressive in character. The colours are vibrant and varied, available in yellow, turquoise, violet, or multicolour blends.
