Linen is often called the European version of silk — and LINON embodies that perfectly. It is a fine, softly woven linen, created from oxygen-bleached fibres, giving it a crisp white finish and a smooth, flowing texture once washed.

While the fabric is slightly stiff at first, a single wash transforms it into a soft, supple cloth that’s easy to work with and beautiful to wear. We recommend prewashing before sewing for the best results.

The Fabric

LINON is light and breathable, woven with delicacy but strong enough for daily wear. It’s not prewashed, so it will shrink and soften as expected after its first wash. At 125 g/m², it’s ideal for light garments and finer textile work.

The Environment

Flax is one of the most sustainable fibres available. It thrives in poor soil with minimal water, and every part of the plant is used — from textiles to linseed oil. Linen is fully biodegradable, renewable, and a beautiful example of low-impact textile production.

Health & Comfort

Linen is naturally antibacterial, breathable, and non-irritating. It’s particularly suited for sensitive skin, and perfect for anyone experiencing heat sensitivity or prone to skin flare-ups in warmer weather.

Care

Linen loves to be washed. Over time, it will soften, relax, and become more beautiful with every wear. Wash at 60–90°C, reduce spin, and hang to dry dripping wet. Avoid ironing — the creasing is part of its natural charm.

HEMP CHEESECLOTH is an open weave, extra wide made with natural raw untreated Hemp cloth made in Europe and used for filtering, straining of cheese or other products. Can be used to create bags for transport or storage. Drying and storage of  herbs or open weave curtains.

I often describe linen as the European version of silk—timeless, breathable, and soft against the skin. LIONA sits comfortably between lightweight and heavy, fine and rustic. It’s slightly heavier than our Linon fabric, making it a better choice for skirts, shirts, and trousers, rather than airy blouses or delicate tops.

This is a classic, white oxygen-bleached linen, full of softness, structure, and versatility. A reliable staple for both clothing and homeware projects.

The Fabric

Woven from 100% European linen, LIONA has a midweight feel and soft white finish. At 190 g/m², it's ideal for structured garments and everyday interior projects. It is not prewashed, so we recommend allowing for around 10% shrinkage after the first wash.

The Environment

Breathable, hypoallergenic, and kind to sensitive skin, linen is a natural choice for those affected by prickly heat, hot flushes, or fabric sensitivities. Its temperature-regulating quality makes it ideal for year-round comfort.

Care

Linen becomes softer and more supple with every wash. LIONA is best washed at 60–90°C on a gentle cycle. Do not iron — its natural creasing is part of its charm and character. Hang or lay flat to dry while still damp. With time, it will mould to the shape of your project and last for years.

FINOLINA – Naturally Dyed European Linen Fabric

Finolina is our signature lightweight linen - refined, breathable, and radiant with natural colour. Woven in Italy from European-grown flax and hand-dyed by us in small batches here in Co. Clare, this fabric celebrates the tradition of natural dyeing with modern precision and care.

Available in three rich botanical shades:

💙 Medium Blue – classic indigo
💧 Light Indigo – soft, washed blue
🌿 Emerald Green – layered tones from indigo & pomegranate

Finolina has a cool, smooth hand and a gentle drape. Slightly narrower due to shrinkage in the dyeing process, it remains perfectly suited for garments and interior projects where natural beauty and material integrity matter.

The Fabric

Finolina is woven from 100% European flax, developed for us in a natural white and dyed entirely in-house using traditional indigo vats and plant-based extracts. This is a fine plain weave with a soft, structured touch—ideal for clothing and refined textile work.

Naturally dyed shades may show subtle variation, giving each fabric a unique, living quality - dyed in 5m lengths.

Care
