Autumn Colour Collection

The Autumn collection is inspired by falling leaves, forest floors, and deep seasonal tones. Rich browns and warm reds come together in a grounded, earthy palette that lends itself beautifully to expressive, textured fibre work.

This European Merino Wool Colour Collection works equally well for felting, spinning, and fibre blending, whether used on its own or combined with other natural or dyed fibres.

Each collection is pre-packed at AppleOak as a fixed mixed set to keep things simple, consistent, and low-waste.

About the wool

This merino roving is produced on small farms in Europe, closer to home than most merino wool. The wool is mulesing free and dyed in Switzerland using synthetic dyes certified to OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 and EU Ecolabel standards.

We chose this fibre for its softness, reliability, and balanced handle — an all-round wool that additionally performs beautifully across a wide range of techniques.

Perfect for

  • Wet felting

  • Needle felting

  • Spinning

  • Fibre blending

  • Chunky or arm knitting

All fibres are aligned in one direction with a regular thickness, making this an easy and forgiving wool to work with — suitable for both beginners and experienced makers.

About roving length

Wool roving is sold by weight, not length. The final length depends on how the fibre is drafted and used.
This collection is supplied as a single fixed weight to simplify packing and ensure consistency across all colour collections.

Good to know

  • One fixed weight option only (120g)

  • Colours are supplied as separate portions, not blended

  • Slight shade variation may occur between dye batches
