🌿 1-Year Professional Natural Dyeing Course (2027)

A structured, mentored programme for textile artists, makers, educators, and professionals who want to build confident, repeatable natural dye practice and a strong, coherent body of work.

This is a year-long learning journey combining technical depth, reflective practice, and professional support — designed to help you move from experimentation to mastery.

What Happens After You Enrol

Once enrolled, you’ll receive access to our private course platform, including an introduction module outlining the year ahead.

All live sessions are recorded, allowing flexible participation worldwide.

Students receive one year of full Academy Membership access with the course. 

After course completion, students have an additional year available for portfolio completion and course material access.

Materials & Sourcing

Material lists are released monthly in advance.

Students may:

• Use their own suppliers
• Order discounted bundles 
• Purchase optional starter boxes

From August onwards, bundles are replaced by a discount code, reflecting individual needs.

Your portfolio should always reflect your own practice and sourcing choices.


Tools & Setup

A full dye studio is not required.

The course is designed for well-organised home or kitchen-based setups, with guidance on safe, practical working methods.


Growing Colour — Membership Sessions

Four or more sessions led by Tristan Lienhard cover:

• Growing dye plants
• Seasonal timing
• Organic methods
• Seed saving

Optional 4 day in-person session offered separately.

Full Membership access is included for the duration of the course.


Community & Academy Access

Enrolment includes one year of Natural Dyers & Growers Academy membership, with access to:
