Flax Top

Western European Linen Fibre

Beautiful long-staple flax fibre combed into a smooth, lustrous top—ready for spinning, needle felting or blending into art batts.

This flax is grown and processed entirely in Western Europe, where the cool climate produces some of the finest linen fibres in the world. The fibre is dew-retted, a traditional process in which moisture and microorganisms gently separate the fibres from the plant stems.

Flax spins best with lightly damp fingertips, allowing the fibres to draft smoothly and producing a strong, elegant linen yarn.

Choose between two preparations:

Natural flax – unbleached fibre in its natural silver-beige tone
Bleached flax – clean white linen fibre ideal for dyeing

Suitable for

• Hand spinning
• Needle felting
• Fibre blending
• Textile art and fibre crafts
• Linen yarn production

Flax adds strength, sheen and crisp structure to yarns and textile work.
