CORE WOOL ~ BASIC FELTING/STUFFING WOOL

This is just the one, if you are looking for a base or core wool for needle felting. It gives a smooth finish to all your needle felting works and is ideal for base work before you put on the colour (if you do). It keeps detailed shapes and it felts so quickly it is unbelievable.

It is also useful for wet felting, we have been using it on big and small projects and because it comes in a carded fleece you can take the layers easily apart for laying out thin layer up on layer.

SUITABLE FOR:
Wet felting
Stuffing teddys, dolls, cushion etc.
Needle or Dry felting

ORIGIN: grown and processed in South Germany

GUIDELINE: shown in the picture are1kg roll - 250gr is quite a lot, it is quite bulky so unless you are creating big pieces, this will last for a while!

FLAX ROVING ~ Suitable for spinning & Needle Felting

Available as bleached and natural ~ Staple length about 5-8cm

Flax top for spinning, carding, felting and other textile arts, made from the flax plant.

The linen is certified with the ' Master of linen' certificate, which means that it is all sourced in Western Europe and dew retted.

Flax fibre is great for Needle felting! Much better than Bamboo fibre.

To Spin: It does help to keep a small bowl of water nearby and keep your fingers wet as you spin. Smooth down the long-staple fibers to get a smooth textured yarn. 

The beautiful Moonscape is made by Jane Cohen using natural and bleached Flax fibres

Felting suitability

The average thickness of fibre is ± 25 microns, making the Bheda wool a fine to medium wool.

Save and Fair

Colouring the Bheda Wool is done by hand using safe Swiss colours and is produced by a Company empowering underprivileged women. Bheda Wool comes in 34 beautiful and rich colours.


Batch Differences

Because of the more traditional approach to manufacturing the Bheda Wool, slight differences in colour from batch to batch can occur. Therefore, in cases of larger crafting projects, we advise to be sure to buy enough in one order to minimize variation between colours.
