One of the softest of our three natural ranges, Puno is made exclusively from Baby Alpaca and is outstandingly soft and perfectly suited for sensitive skin. The plied look gives it a chunkier heavier appearance yet is extremely light and soft to the touch. Puno yarn makes a quick knit and a cosy one to boot!
Snug as a bug – is what you will be, when knitting something in this Alpaca yarn. Due to its slouchy and drapey effect it is best suited for flowing and body skimming pieces, ideally knitted seamlessly. Slouch hats, snoods, blankets or shawl projects are particularly well suited for the Puno Alpaca yarn.

All our Alpaca yarns come from the Peruvian Andes
The entire production ~ from Alpaca farmer to the spun yarn ~ is done within Peru, supporting local employment and a low carbon footprint.

Turin Bán ~ Wool/Silk/Ramie yarn undyed
Turin has been an old time favourite in our collection. This magical yarn effortlessly transforms into durable socks or luxurious clothing. The yarn is soft, light and has a gorgeous sheen. The added Ramie (processed nettle) and silk content, gives this yarn the needed strength for long lasting socks, sweaters and other garments. As you can see an absolute all rounder!
Turin is made from 60% pure wool, 20% mulberry silk and 20% Ramie. The wool comes from South America, the ramie fibre and mulberry silk is imported from China and the final yarn is spun in Czechia, Europe.
Once done, we apply the final colour touch, using only sustainable, no impact dyeing methods and organic ingredients. Turin is a joy to dye and it has a beautiful saturated, yet semi solid colour uptake.

Wool is usually sold per weight. But sometimes you want to know how long the wool roving is. We have calculated the roving length of the different packages below:
Please note that this is an approximation. The length can vary per type of wool, per colour or per production. And the harder you pull, the longer the roving becomes.
Would you want to make sure you get the wool roving in one piece?
We try our best to deliver the roving in one piece. But please count in that even when we try our best we don’t always succeed. Sometimes we have no choice but to deliver the desired quantity in two or more pieces.
